Peter Schmidt is an award-winning member of the Canadian Watercolor Society, having won awards both from the Independent Artist League and the Canadian Watercolor Society (2nd place at the Montreal Show in 2002). He is represented by several galleries in Quebec and Alberta and his paintings can be found in private and corporate collections in Canada, the US and Europe.
Among his numerous other activities he is also a Scout Leader with the Montreal West Scout Group. Before this year, Peter spent 3 years as a Cub Leader and has therefore had many occasions to camp at and get to know Jackson Dodds. It is this familiarity and fondness that he brings to his Watercolor tribute to the camp.
